Management: Management has the responsibility to achieve the goals and objectives of an organization through the actions of other people.

The Finder: The Finder of the organization delegates to management who then delegate to other people within the organization to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

Delegation: Delegation requires that management first find the people to whom tasks can be delegated. The assignments should be made very clear, with an expectation of a certain quality, a date the assignment is to be completed, a reporting date to management on the completion of the assignment and a process by which management can make sure that all assigned tasks are completed.

The process: There exists task-driven software that management can use to make sure assignments are completed by the assigned date.

Training: Management has the responsibility to make sure that those to whom assignments have been given are adequately trained for the assignment. Management should find other people if the company does not have sufficient internal expertise to complete assigned duties.

Outside professionals: Outside professionals are often used by a company that does not have the internal expertise and/or if the company does not want to hire a full-time employee plus the related payroll taxes and insurance.

Agreements: Outside professionals should be willing to sign an independent contractor agreement and to complete a Form W-9 when hired by the company.

Insurance: Outside professionals should provide information to management that they have adequate insurance, such as Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance. The E&O insurance should be $1,000,000 or more.

Duties & deadlines: Outside professionals should have deadlines for all tasks and assignments. They should be held accountable for all agreements made in writing in their proposals.
