He is a decisive, focused, and versatile CFO executive with uncompromising integrity.As a key member of the executive management team for a $75 million construction company, Jim contributed to planning and execution of enterprise-level marketing expansion, strategies and decision-making. He initiated the decentralization of the accounting functions to a branch level through hiring and training accounting staff. Jim was solely responsible for the accurate reporting of all financial matters including GAAP statement presentation, selection of insurance providers and banking relationships.Other Significant Achievements: Provided due diligence to a world wide $1 billion publicly traded (Milan, IT) exterior cladding company - as it acquired a US corporation in a 100% stock buyout. Supervised the financial development of a company from $60 million in contract revenues to over $100 million in two years. Developed new technique for converting project estimates to the operating budgets, facilitating management and control of project costs. Researched, selected, implemented and converted from manual accounting books to Microsoft Solomon, a fully integrated computerized system for financial information, project management and purchasing. Performed due diligence for purchase of two companies, adding to the diversity of products and extending the structure into distribution. Developed and enforced procedures that reduced annual inventory shrinkage to less than 0.5% of sales. Initiated program for Accounts Receivable collections that virtually eliminated write-offs and secured lien rights (reduced from over $300,000 written off in one year to less than $50,000 in the following year). Created and implemented the first sales and capital budgeting forecasts for a company. A native of Texas, Jim earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from the University of Houston. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. Jim has work experience in California, Texas, and Florida. Jim recently returned to his native Texas from 9 years in Florida. Jim is also active in his community, serving as Vice-President of his neighborhood HOA board of directors.
