Ed has over 30 years of progressive experience initially working in the manufacturing sector as Cost Accountant, Plant Controller, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer. In addition he has been a founder/principal in a sales and marketing support company that specialized in fulfillment, e-commerce, and digital printing, where for 17 years he developed his entrepreneurial talents.
He has worked for a wide range of small and mid-sized companies such as Bridgeport Machines, Inc., Hudson Wire Company, Century Brass Company, Zygo Corporation, Gunver Manufacturing Company, and MDF Systems, Inc. This experience has given Ed significant insight into manufacturing, aerospace, high-technology, marketing, retail, warehousing and distribution, digital printing, mailing, and service companies.
Ed's areas of expertise include the design and implementation of general ledger and cost accounting systems, productivity and process improvement, lean accounting, vendor negotiations, bank relations, customer service, financial analysis, operations, business development, budgeting, forecasting, cost reduction, human resources, inventory management, e-commerce, equipment lease negotiation, consulting, and software implementation. Ed enjoys multi tasking and thrives in a fast pace environment.
Ed has his BS Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University and is a Certified Management Accountant. He and his wife reside on the Connecticut Shoreline. He is active in his community and is a Special Olympics coach.
