Alexander J. Bacon, Jr.

Al has more than 25 years of banking, financial management and business owner experience, both in the US and in England.

For the past 11 years Al has been an active owner of a prototype electroplater, handling the financial, legal, human resources and sales functions. Al introduced professional management practices such as computerized accounting, forecasting, budgeting, payroll processing and cash management to the company. Sales initiatives contributed to a diversification of revenues into new and highly profitable sectors. A progressive benefits package including a SEP retirement plan and medical benefits including Health Savings Accounts was crafted by Al.

Prior to corporate ownership, Al enjoyed a 15 year career in global corporate banking, holding senior lending positions at ING Bank (London), SIB International Bancorp (an affiliate of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert) and Mellon Bank. During this time Al specialized in working with energy companies from small independents to the global majors in Houston and London. Al also has extensive experience in project finance, LBO and structured finance as well as with interest rate management products.

Al's unique skill set makes him an ideal partner for entrepreneurs keen to see their companies grow with the proper controls and financing in place.


Al is a graduate of Cranbrook School and holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University as well as a BA from Denison University. Al and his wife, Jennifer, enjoy playing tennis, running and spending time in northern Michigan.
