Al is a practiced financial leader who has over 34 years of experience in guiding companies to achieve significant enhancements in overall profitability and financial efficiency. He has improved working capital 20% for several different businesses. An excellent negotiator who is able to secure necessary capital to finance business growth and/or reduce senior debt.

An operational leader who has spearheaded efforts related to audit preparation, ISO 9001 implementation, and the establishment of financial controls.

He is familiar with FASB and GAAP procedures. Al has experience related to pensions, post retirement benefits for current employees, and foreign currency translations. Al has over his career standardized and improved accounting procedures, revising the chart of accounts, automating accounting rules for consigned inventory, and making changes to work-in-process and inventory valuation processes. He has implemented new cost accounting methods for a manufacturing facility, created a tax-advantaged strategies in coordination with an estate plan for the sole owner of a Subchapter S business, introduced financial statement reporting procedures regarding the corporate and individual profitability of 46 U.S. and Canadian branches and led the implementation of new ERP software that uplifted efficiency, control, and productivity.

Al has operational experience relating to realigning distribution systems improving deployment of inventory and decreasing the costs of receiving and assisting in implementing an MRP style inventory purchasing system that within the first week provided insight into slow and obsolete material that could be turned into cash. He has developed forecasting models for planning and budget.

Al achieved his Bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and his MBA from Central Michigan University. Besides his experience at teaching, Al has authored numerous articles on financial technology. He has spoken at conferences on topics such as Management techniques, Auditor relationships, Credit Management and Technology.
