Bill has over 27 years experience in the CFO, Business Advisory, Controller and Internal Audit areas. Nine years were with Exxon, where he sharpened his financial evaluation, financial reporting and internal control skills. Seven years ago he was confident that he could use his skills and experiences to assist the underserved small company that needed the experience of a CFO but could not afford one full-time. Since then he has served as a strategic business partner for small business owners in a wide variety of industries such as staffing, real estate, retail, chemical resale, medical services, franchise services and a residential moving company. He possesses high-level skills in strategic business planning, establishment of operational/financial controls, transaction structuring, systems integration, human resources, and risk management. He also has expertise in developing financial forecasts that have been used by his clients to raise capital and support their business plans.

Bill's diverse industry experience allows him to quickly evaluate all areas of a business to isolate key problem areas and potential solutions. In addition, his understanding of finance and operations allows him to develop the financial systems to support a company's operations. He has helped his client companies take control of their finances, increase profitability, reduce overhead and free up cash which in turn allows the owners to reap the rewards of their hard work. He has reengineered financial and accounting functional areas to improve accuracy and timeliness and reduce close cycle time. He has also worked with his client's lenders to increase his client's borrowing capabilities, and obtain better, less restrictive lending terms. For certain clients, he has identified potential funding sources to promote growth, and for others, he discovered and corrected numerous internal control deficiencies and has implemented procedures to improve cash flow.

Bill is a hands on manager and enjoys the challenge of solving his client's problems. He works well with employees at all levels within an organization and fosters loyalty and top performance from staff members. He is respected for his keen business insight, objectivity, honesty and integrity and has forged long term relationships with many of his client companies.

Bill earned his MBA specializing in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his BSBA in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University.

Bill is also active in his community. For the last three years he has served as the Director of the spiritually based Upward Basketball and Cheerleading league that serves hundreds of children in the Houston area. He serves on the Legislative Committee of the Cy-Fair ISD, keeping citizens and legislators informed of the impact of potential legislation on area schools. He has also served on the Board of, and is actively involved in, the Wharton Club.

Bill and Carol have been married for 23 years. They have a son in college and a son in middle school.
