He is skilled and experienced in partnering with CEOs to define strategic objectives and identify, analyze and execute growth plans as well as cost reduction and restructuring initiatives. Fred has worked closely with the banking community throughout his career and gained their respect with an honest, straightforward approach that has been the cornerstone of many successful banking relationships. He is committed to trustworthy business relationships, ethics and integrity having served on and chaired ethics committees at his prior two companies.
Fred is also a hands-on operations oriented financial professional who has managed accounting, budgeting, financial planning, credit, treasury, human resources, and information technology functions with minimal staffing levels. He is particularly adept at developing analyses to identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels. Fred understands that even the best software tools need to be configured in a way that produces the right metrics for the business and this is of utmost importance with respect to inventory. There is even a greater need for attention if software is outdated or perhaps not ideal for a particular inventory model or strategy.
Several other areas where Fred has extensive experience to aid small to mid-size companies include pricing strategy, systems upgrades, risk and insurance cost assessment, capital project evaluation and control, staffing and acquisitions. He has performed customer segmentation analysis to identify pricing opportunities, overseen software selection and implementation, reduced property, liability, workers compensation and health care costs while maintaining appropriate coverage and performed ROI analysis to move capital projects forward while establishing controls to ensure those projects were completed on-time and on-budget. Fred has hired and trained entire Finance and Human Resource departments and continually upgraded staff performance during his career through mentoring, training, reassignment and, when necessary, replacing key personnel. Last but certainly not least, should your business be considering growth through acquisition, Fred has evaluated acquisition candidates for 25 of his 34 year career and been a key player in several successful acquisitions and integration of acquired entities.
Fred holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the University of Buffalo and a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Niagara University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Fred and his wife Debbie reside in Saint Charles, Illinois and have one son who is currently in college.
