George Bares’ experience includes auditing with a “Big Four” accounting firm, controllership of a publically traded company, and eight years as a commercial lender. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of a privately held manufacturer serving the aerospace industry for 15 years. As a key member of the executive management team, he led the company through periods of rapid growth, downsizing, turnaround and successful sale.

George has been responsible for human resources, pricing and customer contract negotiations. He developed budgeting, costing, and inventory control proceedures. He has worked with bankers and asset based lenders on a variety of creative financing strategies. He significantly restructured employee benefits programs to minimize costs while maximizing benefits to employees.

His years of working with privately held businesses as both a banker and an executive has given George a broad range of experience and skills. These include strategic planning, workouts and turnaround management, internal financial controls, cost control, cash management, risk management and exit strategies.   Most recently he has assisted clients on improving internal controls and financial reporting, refinancing and recapitalization, executive compensation and alignment strategies, ERP implementation, projections, and price/costing strategies.
