John is a high energy, entrepreneurially minded Certified Public Accountant with over 27 years of experience specializing in improving enterprise profitability and cash flow of domestic and international companies. As a CPA in private practice, John has served small to medium sized private companies and divisions of Fortune 100 companies throughout his entire career. He has an impressive track record of building enterprise value for companies in a variety of industries including: food processing, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, textiles & apparel, professional services, construction, and insurance.
John's extensive experience in finance, management, and operations includes the following areas:
John's broad experience and superior analytical skills give him the unique ability to quickly understand the critical problems faced by your company, develop strategies that address the problems, and assist in the implementation of solutions. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, and is an expert in turning around distressed companies.
John recently led the turnaround for a national food manufacturer. Before his engagement, the company had a disorganized accounting department, no internal controls, and was losing over $1 million per year. During his engagement, he rebuilt the accounting department, streamlined reporting, and most importantly, returned the company to profitability and sold the company to a multinational conglomerate for $20 million.
John has developed an extensive international network of accountants, attorneys, bankers, investors, and consultants to complement his personal experience.
John holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a licensed CPA.
