Ken has 30 years of experience in Financial, Operational and Executive Management roles. The majority of his corporate career was spent at two multinationals in the Financial Services sector. He was at Citibank for eighteen years, where he worked both in the US and international businesses, serving as a regional CFO in Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Operations and Technology division at Corporate Headquarters. Ken joined Visa International as its CFO in 2000. He later served as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and then became the President/CEO and Board member as the company went through a major restructuring in 2006/2007. This restructuring led to an IPO in early 2008.
In recent years, Ken has also been an entrepreneur, as owner and developer of real estate investment properties and owner/financier of a retail store that he has owned with his wife for 10 years. Ken also has experience as an advisor to investment managers, private equity and venture capital firms. He serves as a volunteer on the Finance Committee in the town where he now resides.
Ken has a broad range of skills and hands-on experience in Finance, Treasury, Facilities, Financial systems and Project management. His executive management roles have afforded him the opportunity to engage and manage all functional areas outside of Finance from marketing to risk management to human resources. Ken worked and lived in the Asia Pacific and Latin American regions in the 1990's. Aside from the invaluable professional experience, the opportunity to learn and work in many countries enabled him to gain an appreciation for both the differences and similarities across cultures.
Ken brings a passion to his work as he looks for ways that business owners can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations. This includes a view that there will always be opportunities to improve processes, both as a result of technology innovation but as well by encouraging employees to take certain risks by challenging the status quo.
