Mitchell Sherman has been helping businesses to grow and achieve success for over 20 years. His experience as a CFO and Controller spans industries as diverse as automotive manufacturing, tool & die/factory automation equipment manufacturing, international distribution, information technology solutions and luxury retail goods. He has worked with both privately owned family businesses as well as multinational Fortune 100 companies and is sensitive to the specific needs of his clients.
Mitchells assignments have focused on helping companies with cash flow challenges, process improvements, building infrastructure to support future growth, identifying new business opportunities and implementing exit strategies for non-performing assets and the retirement goals of owners.
Mitchell has an extensive background in developing and implementing financial controls as part of a (bottom-up) financial, operational and strategic approach to business management. Through timely preparation and analysis of financial, operational, and cash flow data, he has helped create managerial dashboards so that senior and middle managers have the right data, in real time, to identify and improve their results and fix problems before they become a costly crisis.
Mitchell graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in accounting and earned his MBA in finance and entrepreneurship from Penn State. He began his career in public accounting before moving into the private sector where he climbed the corporate ranks to Controller and CFO for small to mid-market private businesses with revenues ranging from $5 million to $100 million dollars and for a division of United Technologies.
Mitchell has his office in Upper Bucks County. When he is not working with clients, you can find him spending time with his wife of 15 years and their son. He has many hobbies which include skiing, mountain biking, backpacking, scuba diving and practicing karate (to stay young). Mitchell is an active member of the Central Bucks County Chamber of Commerce.
