Pat has 24 years experience as a CFO. Prior to that, he worked 7 years at Peat Marwick in the Consulting Division and 10 years at Prudential Insurance Company in their management training program. As CFO he helped grow a $16M company into a $140M corporation through acquisitions, internal sales growth and operational efficiency. During these more than 40 years of business experience he has gained significant knowledge concerning how companies maintain and increase profitability.

One of Pat's areas of expertise and passion is operational reviews. This enthusiasm he gained from his systems management specialty for his MBA, his consulting engagements at Peat Marwick and the many acquisition integrations and profitability improvement studies he conducted as a CFO. Operational reviews look at everything in a company because it all impacts the various lines of the income statement or the balance sheet. A review can lead to some of the following operational improvements that increase revenue and profits:

Development of a business or strategic plan and long-term goals
Use of budgets, forecasts and shorter-term goals
Management reporting system for key business matrices
Cash-flow reports and forecasts
Standard operating procedures, financial controls and training

He is well qualified and experienced to be your business advisor as well as working with your banker, CPA, attorney and any other professionals as needed. Over the years he has worked with and trained many accountants, so he is comfortable training and mentoring your financial staff.

Pat earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting from DePaul University in Chicago. While working for Prudential Insurance Company full-time, he obtained his Masters of Business Administration at night from the DePaul University Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow in the Life Management Institute.

Pat and his wife Virgene have been married 32 years and have two children and two grandchildren. He is active in his church as a member of the Advisory Council and has leadership responsibilities in a fraternal organization, as well as other ministries. He participates in a tennis league, and he and his wife enjoy traveling.
