Shane is a financial business consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area with B2B CFO^®, the country’s largest CFO firm. B2B CFO^®, is much more than a team of accountants. We help small and medium sized companies achieve a higher level of success.

Since joining B2B CFO^® in 2004, Shane has served as a trusted business advisor to over 50 small and mid-sized closely held companies in various industries including alternative energy, software, manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services, restaurants, construction and others. He enjoys meeting the challenges of start-up companies, having helped several obtain debt and equity financing. He also assists business owners of later-stage companies in the pursuit of higher profits, better cash flows, and increased shareholder value.

Specifically, Shane focuses on:

· Assistance in dealing with financial reporting, accounting/bookkeeping issues, staffing in the finance department, internal controls, risk management, tax planning and more.

· Cash flow planning that is more than wishful thinking, including a rolling 13-week forecast prepared each week with the goal of early identification of future cash flow issues, allowing for remedial action well in advance in order to avoid a crisis.

· Exit planning, helping business owners build company value and a solid plan for the eventual disposition of the business via outright sale, management buy-out, gifting to heirs, ESOP, etc.

· Litigation support for commercial disputes including lost profits, lost wages, partnership disputes, etc.

Mostly importantly, Shane helps business owners make more money by encouraging them to offload non-essential tasks and responsibilities. The gained time allows the business owner to return to their passion of growing their business – the reason they went into business to begin with. By gaining goal clarity, business owners are re-energized, leading to higher profits and more fun.

Shane is a former partner in a large local San Francisco Bay Area CPA firm where he ran the audit and accounting practice, serving hundreds of small and medium sized businesses as their CPA. Shane has taught courses in audit and accounting, mergers and acquisition, and a variety of other topics. He has also been asked to testify as an expert witness in business litigation matters.

Shane previously headed up the Financial Stewards at his local church, arranging to acquire and convert a cold empty warehouse and convert it into the church campus - a $5 million project. Shane also helped orchestrate two capital campaigns to finance this project for a combined raise of $2.5 million. Shane and his wife Karen have been happily married since 1984. Their two children, Jessica and Kenny are now attending UC Davis and Sonoma State, respectively.
