Steve profits from more than 25 years of accounting, financial and managerial know-how. He has trained with international accounting firms in both audit and taxation, and has owned a public accounting firm as well as commercial businesses. Steve takes pride in his ability to quickly analyze problems and communicate their solution to management in a timely and comprehensive style. Examples include: saving one employer $200,000 in income taxes, negotiating settlement of a major ongoing legal matter with a state agency avoiding further litigation, implementing a plan to bring an employer into compliance with banking regulations, designing and implementing an accounting system between an employer and their international customer to electronically monitor operations and automate billing procedures.

Steve has experience in multiple types of businesses to include: banking, bankruptcies, manufacturing, transportation, SEC reporting, oil and gas, convenience stores, not-for-profit, grain commodities, retail and numerous types of small businesses. He has worked with companies as large as international conglomerates to businesses with less than five employees. He understands and respects the uniqueness of each.

As a former owner of businesses himself, Steve appreciates the daily challenges business owners endure. He has extensive experience with: designing and implementing accounting systems, HR, insurance, worker's compensation, working with attorneys in preparing and defending lawsuits, preparing loan applications, working with banks, and cash flow issues. He has experience with mergers and acquisitions and planning exit strategies for business owners. Steve believes he has a personal responsibility to ensure he meets the needs of his clients in a timely, professional manner.

Steve holds a degree from Wichita State University where he also pursued graduate studies in business. He is a certified public accountant, chartered global management accountant and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is married and has two children.
