Tom is a seasoned financial professional with leadership skills and proven experience with both large national and small to medium size private companies to significantly improve financial reporting and to develop the financial tools to allow senior management to more effectively run their companies. Tom effects change in the financial operations of companies by determining the critical issues that need to be addressed and implementing the software, personnel, staff training, policies and procedures and financial management to solve the problem. Tom has lead teams and been a key contributor in several system design, conversion and implementation projects of fully integrated accounting software systems to significantly improve the accuracy and timeliness of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, treasury management and human resources.

Tom is adept at working with ownership and management to proactively understand the business operations issues and how they relate to financial reporting and profitability of the company. Tom focuses on developing management reporting and financial tools to help management better understand the financial results and to identify what steps can be taken to improve the financial performance of the company.

Tom is a CPA and has 30 years of experience including five years in public accounting and 25 years in private industry as a CFO or Controller. His private company experience has primarily been in the real estate development, construction, property management and franchise industries.

Tom is a fifth generation Texan and earned his BBA in Accounting from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife Leslie live in the Park Cities and have two daughters, the oldest attending the University of Alabama and the youngest attending Highland Park High School. Tom and his family are actively involved with their church, St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal, having served in various capacities. Tom and Leslie also own and operate a national hair care franchise business in Las Colinas. Tom is a member of several professional organizations including the Texas Society of CPAs, Real Estate Financial Executives Association & Financial Executives International
