David has over 34 years experience in financial management and operations, ranging from executive positions with worldwide firms to owning and operating a small business. He has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for nationwide companies, followed by several years owning a commercial construction company. David recently sold his company after dramatically improving the value of the company by cash management and operating strategies. He has knowledge of a wide variety of industries, including the construction and building industries. David also has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and the intricacies of buying and selling a business.
David brings incredible energy to every workplace he enters, invigorating clients and creating confidence. He quickly becomes a valued confidante of business owners, relating via personal experience to the business issues that owners face. He has the ability to hone in the root cause of problems and provide practicable solutions. He relates well to employees on all levels and has taken on the role of mentor throughout his career. David uses humor, directness and patience to help business owners understand their situation.
David's dynamic experience as a combination CFO, COO and business owner has enables him to advise in many areas including the following: Establishing long term goals for the company and its owners, providing overall financial and management assessments, analyzing overhead and reducing costs, evaluating personnel and increasing their productivity, analyzing contract backlogs and forecasting, cash management and forecasting, strategic planning , reviewing contracts and insurance programs, arranging financing for future projects, acquisitions and working capital, establishing methods to increase profitability, and finally helping clients sell their businesses when ready.
David earned his B.S. in Mathematics from the Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. He is also a graduate of the intense two-year General Electric Finance School. He resides in Camino, CA. with his wife, and is a talented furniture maker and woodworker in his spare time. He is involved in the community and donates many of his wood masterpieces to auctions at charity fundraisers.
