Darrell has 29 years of accounting, consulting and financial management experience in diverse industries including manufacturing, distribution, construction and services. He has served as the CFO of both a $200M privately held company and a $1.5B publicly-held entity. He has held the positions of Controller, VP of Business Development and Financial Analyst with medium sized private companies and large Fortune 100 corporations. In addition, Darrell has a solid background with private equity portfolio companies.

Darrell has directly managed all aspects of the finance and administrative functions during times of rapid growth and periods of downturn. He has been responsible for establishing and maintaining banking relations, numerous M&A transactions, tax planning and audit, insurance and risk management, IT systems and human resources. During his career, he has led multiple successful debt and equity raising efforts, negotiated numerous contracts and leases, implemented of a wide variety of employee benefit plans and business restructuring efforts.

Darrell has first hand knowledge of all aspects of the business's financial needs and the myriad of challenges they face. He will work diligently with owners and has the proven ability to provide them with the insight and tools needed to enhance profitability and in turn increase the value of their business. His primary areas of focus include financial controls and reporting systems, cash management, cost containment, capital deployment decisions and management team issues. He can also be called on to assist with issues like insurance, litigation and the formulation of an exit strategy if needed. Darrell has led the successful sale of a number business units including a transaction that generated a 6X return to the owners.

This network provides an exceptionally strong base of knowledge for any business utilizing his services.

Darrell earned his BS in Accounting from Southern Illinois University in 1980. He and his wife Joan have two grown children and enjoy travel and all manner of outdoor activities.
