Ed has 30 years experience in managing corporate finance functions for dynamic companies in diverse industries and multinational marketplaces. He is an assertive senior executive with high-caliber general management qualifications and well-developed decision-making skills. He presents complex financial information in a clear and concise manner while offering pragmatic solutions to issues and problems. Ed has directed a wide range of banking, investment and credit activities along with managing key relationships with bankers, tax advisors, and auditors.

His range of experience includes senior finance positions with startup organizations as well as publicly traded multi-national companies. Ed understands the challenges faced by entrepreneurs as he was a co-founder of a consumer goods company in the HBA industry. He has worked in the toy industry at CBS Inc. and at Matchbox Toys (helping the latter become the first Southeast Asia based company to go public on the NYSE). His additional industry experience includes private asset management and at a large not-for-profit membership association. He began his career at Touche Ross & Co. (a Big 8 accounting firm).

Ed's extensive hands-on experience includes due-diligence support for M&A activity, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and working with bank appointed crisis managers to close unprofitable operations and prepare related offering memorandums. He has led efforts in two major Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls; renegotiated loan covenants allowing for the expansion of and greater utilization of credit lines; and established new investment relationships with portfolio advisors and retirement plan administrators. Throughout his career, he has been able to:

  • improve and streamline processes and where necessary, direct installation and modification of accounting systems to increase productivity and deliver timely and meaningful data to stakeholders;
  • execute business strategies, and provide oversight on expense, operational and business initiatives; and,
  • develop and mentor subordinates facilitating succession planning.

Ed is a life long resident of the New York City metropolitan area having received both his BBA and MBA from Pace University (one of the first universities in the nation to offer such a combined degree program). He has the additional distinction of having passed all parts of the CPA exam on his initial attempt. Ed and his wife Bruni live in the Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York and have four children and one grandchild. Ed is a volunteer with the Hudson Valley chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation having served as treasurer and president of the board of directors.
