Jim has over 28 years of broad-based experience in accounting, finance, sales, and operations management of small to medium sized privately held businesses. He is a hands-on, versatile, and results orientated senior executive with a proven, broad ranging entrepreneurial skill set, honed over 28 year of experience in public accounting, investment banking, and entrepreneurial business operations/financial management.

Jim is anything but a bean counter. His background in operations, finance, sales, and accounting make him very adept at quickly analyzing all aspects of a business, identifying areas for operational improvement, and developing the right operational and financial systems to support a company's growth. With broad industry experience in medical technology, non-profits, manufacturing, sales organizations, real estate development/ management, and finance, Jim has proven to be very adept at providing critical, independent, solutions oriented insight in any business environment.

Prior to joining B2B CFO®, Jim spent three years in the audit and tax departments at Grant Thornton, eight years at the Churchill Companies (an investment bank/private equity firm in Minneapolis), and sixteen years as a business owner where he gained valuable entrepreneurial experience in operations and financial management in a variety of different businesses. During his career, Jim arranged over $500,000,000 of construction loans, equipment/real estate term debt, and working capital lines of credit for a variety of companies. In addition, he was President of a private non-profit foundation and took the from 30 million in assets to over 100 million in assets in three years. Most recently, Jim was a co-founder and served sixteen years as the Chief Financial Officer of the nation's largest fundraiser in high school sports, helping take the company from zero to 200 sales representatives and over $50,000,000 a year in sales. Jim also has very extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and the intricacies involved in buying and selling businesses.

He grew up in Coronado, CA, while his father served the US Navy for 20 years as a naval aviator. To pay his way through college, Jim sold books door to door for the Southwestern Companies and earned the AL Casey management award. Jim has been married for over 30 years, is the father of eight daughters, and has actively served in his church in many capacities, including as a pastor.
