Julie has 20 years of financial management and operational experience, having held positions in Fortune 100 companies as well as small and medium size privately owned companies. Her experience as a CFO for businesses ranging from closely held start-ups to long established businesses has ignited her passion in being an integral part of a company's management team and making a significant difference. A native of Chicago, Il, Julie has worked in a variety of industries including oil/gas/chemical manufacturing, restaurant and franchise operations, telecommunications, retail, home healthcare, catalog retail packing and healthcare packaging, janitorial services, executive benefit options services, construction, IT services, MLM organizations, logistics and printing, and asphalt and concrete services.

Julie's breadth of industry experience allows her to quickly analyze all aspects of the business and pinpoint risks and opportunities to help drive strategic business decisions. Her understanding of finance and operations allows her to develop the financial systems and internal company processes to support best practices of the company's operations. She has a proven track record in strategic business planning, establishment of operational/financial controls, systems integration, human resources, process re-engineering and cash management. She quickly identifies issues, prepares a plan for improvement and follows through on implementation.

Julie has years of expertise in developing financial forecasting models and budgeting models to provide financial information that ensures a company's management team understands exactly how the company is performing and is expected to perform. This coupled with working with company managers as a team and on a one-to-one level helps ensure the company is functioning as a cohesive unit. She has been integral in pulling management teams together at several companies to support each other as a team, understand the business as a whole, and be fully accountable for their role in the company's success. Julie started providing CFO and consulting services in 2003 with an emphasis in financial and KPI reporting, highly focused management reporting, strategic planning, business process reengineering, and information technology. Julie understands that the best run and most profitable companies have great planning processes. Her skill set also includes complex financial analysis and financial modeling applications. Her strong technology background has led to revenue growth through better data analysis techniques and lower costs by creating business process efficiencies

Julie's passion is to provide part-time CFO services to small and mid-sized companies that may not be able to afford a CFO full-time but could benefit from the expertise of a financial executive. She thoroughly enjoys the challenge of helping these company's grow and overcome any obstacles that may be facing. Julie has helped over a dozen companies to take control of their finances, increase profitability, reduce overhead and free up cash for the owners to reap the rewards of their hard work.

Julie has served several companies as their first CFO, and been a driving force on their management teams. She has a valuable skill set of working with all areas of operations in a company to ensure the management team is a well functioning unit that supports the needs the owners. She has been very successful in developing close relationships with CEO's and owners, who rely upon her for business advice and support

Julie holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign, graduating and becoming a CPA in 1989. She also holds an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Julie has been fortunate to have worked under senior executives at such industry giants as Amoco, McDonald's International Division (Asia-Pacific Region), Ameritech and Sears. The years under these executive's tutelage helped her transition into CFO positions as privately held companies and make a quick and significant impact on their business operations. Julie is the CFO/trusted advisor for a number of small and mid-sized businesses where she helps them with all aspects of financial management, operations and profitability improvement, sales and marketing, strategic planning and growth strategies.

Julie and her son Matt reside in a suburb outside of Chicago. Julie is a soccer/basketball/ football/Cub Scout and Band mom! She loves to read, garden, cook and entertain.
