In 1990, at the age of 30, Jane started her consulting firm, CoActive Consulting Group, and fostered it successfully for the next 14 years. Her mission was to show business owners how to improve operations and boost the value of their companies by leveraging technology and business process optimization.

Jane’s firm developed an outstanding reputation by providing exceptional consulting services to more than 350 clients in an array of industries across New England. A partial list of these industries includes: software, biotechnology, distribution, manufacturing, professional services and financial services.

Prior to selling the firm in 2004, Jane implemented several important initiatives at the company to boost its value before she was approached by potential buyers. She then negotiated the sale of her firm to a large regional CPA firm in Boston; she led the integration effort while retaining 100% of her clients and key staff in the process. For the next three years, Jane oversaw the combined business development and consulting teams’ numerous operational and go-to-market initiatives and was most successful in growing revenue and nurturing key relationships with clients and strategic vendors.

As a consultant and entrepreneur, Jane not only achieved expertise in finance and technology, but also excelled in business development, marketing, business process improvement, client retention and staff development. As a senior business advisor to her clients, Jane reviews and understands the mission, strategy and goals of the organization before providing services.

As a 10 year alumna of Vistage and lifelong student of business, Jane is eager to update her clients on the latest trends and techniques and how to apply these to their businesses. She enjoys teaching entrepreneurs at the Salem State Small Business Development Center and her courses include:
