Jim has over 25 years of financial management and operational experience as CFO or Financial Vice President for many businesses including a number of closely held mid-caps, angel-financed start-ups, venture-backed organizations and, most recently, a microcap publicly held corporation. He has also served as President of a small regional airline. A native of Pennsylvania, Jim has worked in a variety of industries including retail home electronics, health and beauty aids manufacturing, real estate construction and development, aviation and transportation, entertainment services, resorts and recreation, office products manufacturing, food product manufacturing pharmaceuticals and product licensing. Jim considers himself a business man first, a finance professional second, having been directly involved as a leader in the acquisition of over ten companies and the divestiture of five.

Jim's diverse industry experience allows him to quickly analyze all aspects of the business to identify problem areas and develop solutions that work. His understanding of finance and operations allows him to develop the financial systems to support the company's operations. He possesses high-level skills in strategic business planning, establishment of operational/financial controls, transaction structuring, human resources, and risk management. Jim also has years of expertise in developing financial forecasts that have been used to raise capital and support business plans. Jim's direct involvement in numerous business acquisitions, divestitures and contracts negotiations has provided him with the keen ability to dissect the legal language and make sure that the deal terms clearly state the intentions of the parties. Jim also has experience in dealing with companies that have run into financial problems having served as CFO of a company successfully reorganized out of Chapter 11.

Jim holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Villanova University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is active in his community and serves as Treasurer of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group, the premier association of C-level executive in the greater Philadelphia area, and as Treasurer of the J P Opera Foundation, a scholarship awarding public charity. Jim and his wife, Diana, reside in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
