With 30 years of experience including the roles of CFO, VP Finance, and Controller, as well as being involved with and heading up Operations, Marlyn brings a broad range of expertise in financial and business management to an organization. He recognizes the importance of timely financial reports providing business owners and managers the information they need to make good business decisions, and assists them in developing and analyzing key financial and operating metrics, budgets and forecasts to effectively plan and measure performance of the business. Based on Marlyn’s diverse experience, he is able to analyze all aspects of a business to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.

Marlyn is a proven senior financial executive and leader described as strategic, productive, detail-oriented, organized, effective facilitator, problem-solver and willing to make the right decision. He has gained strong financial experience with direct responsibility for finance and accounting, delivering user-friendly and reliable financial reports, analyses and forecasts; and was responsible for cash management and investment functions. He has also headed up operations and delivery teams including IT, HR, Legal, Travel and Incentives; established corporate policies and procedures; and provided and supported strategic direction, ethical business practices and development of staff.

Marlyn received a BS in Accounting from the University of South Dakota. He began his career with a Big-Eight public accounting firm and he maintains an active Minnesota CPA license. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of CPAs and Financial Executives International, and has been active in his church and community organizations holding several leadership and committee member positions. Marlyn and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Plymouth, MN. They have three sons – their oldest is a licensed funeral director in Colorado, their middle son is an emergency vehicle technician in Minnesota and their youngest is attending college and pursuing a business degree at the University of South Dakota.
