Scott has over 30 years of financial and operations management experience working with both public and private companies ranging in size from local start-up to global companies with over $600 million in revenues. Scott has also held CFO positions with privately held companies and was the manager of the Small Business group for a Big 4 accounting firm. In addition, Scott has served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller for NASDAQ and NYSE listed companies. His diverse range of experience includes companies in such industries as manufacturing, design, fabrication, forest products, telecommunications equipment, and software.

Scott has a proven record as a trusted financial and business advisor. His breath of experience is one of his greatest strengths. Some of his experience includes extensive merger and acquisition work, managing corporate treasuries, capital raising activities including public and private stock and debt offerings, working with bankers to establish, increase, and modify credit facilities. He has helped to build profitable companies and has also developed and implemented restructuring programs resulting in millions of dollars in annualized cost reductions. Scott has broad experience in other areas including human resources, legal, tax, and risk management

Furthermore, Scott’s extensive experience allows him the ability to quickly analyze and identify problem areas and develop practical solutions that work. Some of these solutions include developing cash flow models and budgets to better manage cash and expenses, implementing inventory systems and variance analysis to manage and control production costs and to improve inventory turns. He has put into action accounts receivable management practices to increase cash flow and reduce bad debt expense. He has expertise with GAAP financial statements as well as developing useful and meaningful reports that allow business owners and managers to diagnose and analyze operational results in order to make critical business decisions and develop strategy.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in accounting from Oregon State University where he graduated with honors under the honors program. He earned his MBA from the University of Portland. Scott is a member of the Oregon Society of CPA’s, Executive Officers Club, Financial Executives International and Financial Executives Networking Group. He and his wife Debra live near Portland, Oregon in the city of Happy Valley.
