Tom has over 20 years of accounting, auditing, and operations experience as a CFO, Controller, COO, and Auditor for primarily closely held businesses ranging from start up to $250 million dollar organizations. He has served as a Part Time CFO with B2B CFO^® ® since April, 2005, serving dozens of businesses in a variety of industries. He is the longest tenured partner in the Los Angeles area with numerous long term relationships with a variety of professional service providers to add to the depth of the relationship with the business owner.

A California native from birth, Tom has worked in a variety of industries including distribution, transportation, manufacturing, direct marketing, retail, food service, and contract services. He has been responsible for establishing and maintaining banking relations, numerous M & A transactions, accounting and finance department management and development, HR management and development, and information system selection, implementation, development, and operation. Tom has participated in rapid and sustained growth situations, operational turnaround situations, numerous bank and subordinated debt restructurings, business liquidations, and specialized audit assignments. Tom’s accounting and business experiences and successes will be beneficial to any organization.

Tom has directly managed the development of all aspects of the finance and administrative functions as well as managed operating functions to improve cost control and increase working capital. He has created, improved, and managed the financial and informational reporting functions, credit and collections functions, inventory control, cash management, risk management, tax and audit activities, human resource compliance and management, and managed litigation. Tom has been responsible for establishing the initial certified audit for multiple companies. He has coordinated the recalculation of tax returns to obtain millions of dollars in refunds from prior years. Operationally, he has reduced inventory levels while improving delivery availability through management of inventory control, purchasing and distribution operations.

In addition to successfully managing operations that grew exponentially over multiple years, Tom has coordinated multiple loan restructurings for companies in temporary financial difficulties, and he has functioned as a receiver in the liquidation of a large manufacturing operation. Tom has coordinated the marketing and sale of one company to a private equity fund, and another to an industry buyer. Tom has worked at various levels for several business acquisitions from due diligence through purchase agreement negotiation and purchase financing.

In addition to the B2BCFO ® network, Tom is actively involved in networks of accountants, bankers, lawyers, and other independent professionals to complement his personal experiences. This network will truly provide a substantial asset to any business utilizing his services.

Tom has a finance degree and MBA from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He has been married for over 25 years and both he and his wife are involved with philanthropic work in the greater Los Angeles area. He has be heard as a speaker on small business development issues on the Cable Radio Network.
