Joy began her career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse, transitioned into private equity, and then headed accounting and reporting operations for international and national telecommunications companies. Joy was appointed CFO for a regional broadcasting company in New York where she upgraded systems and operations while working with lenders on debt refinancing and covenants. Joy's entrepreneurial drive then led her to start her own CFO consulting practice which she ran for 10+ years with clients in Washington DC, New York, and Texas. Most recently, Joy served as Executive Director for a regional nonprofit, leading the organization through executive transition and expansion to a national platform. Joy's experience includes a vast array of industries, with specific focus on media and broadcasting, commercial real estate, telecommunications, event management, social networking and online platforms, and law firms.
A licensed CPA, Joy earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting at the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce. Joy also earned three degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary: Master of Christian Education, Master of Biblical Studies, and Doctor of Ministry. Joy continues to provide professional development training with a faith-forward perspective, and she teaches on Theology of Work.
