Mary Jean Herron is an influential business driver whose clarity of vision and decisive leadership has carried a wide variety of companies through rapid and continuous growth. She is known as a catalyst of change, turnaround, and performance improvement in roles that clearly demonstrate her deep understanding of Strategy, Finance, and Operations.

As senior finance officer and operations leader of Keswick Multi-Care, Herron boldly confronted the challenges of growth, technology, and the economy in the rapidly changing healthcare industry. She collaborated in creating a master plan for redesign of the campus and service-line and identified strategic partners for market expansion while optimizing operations and containing costs. Ms. Herron implemented a cutting-edge IT system that ensured capture of millions of dollars of billable revenue.

In a unique transition from Board of Directors (Chair and Treasurer) to CFO of the nationally known nonprofit, Healthcare for the Homeless, Ms. Herron accepted an opportunity to initiate a multimillion-dollar capital campaign and lead a complex, large-scale design and build project of a new Baltimore clinic. She worked with architects, contractors, and the government and overcame a number of strategic obstacles to make her vision of an award-winning LEED Gold certified healthcare facility a reality.

Ms. Herron's experience includes public and private companies, startups, nonprofits, and multinationals. She has proactively served on numerous boards, state commissions, and community organizations, and has a vast network of professional contacts. Mary Jean's expertise includes human resources and the collaborative workplace as well as strategy, finance, board governance and operations.

Maryland Statewide Commissions include the Financial Advisory Committee of the Health Information Exchange (CRISP), the Healthcare Commission Policy Board, and the Health Benefit Exchange.

Boards of Directors include the Maryland SPCA and the Y of Central Maryland, United Way of Central Maryland, US Green Building Council of Maryland, and Healthcare for the Homeless.

Honors include Baltimore Business Journal's Best in Finance: CFO Award, SmartCEO's Executive Management Award, and induction into The Maryland Daily Record's Circle of Excellence.

In the community, she currently participates in the Program Committee of the Family Tree, Network 2000, and the Enterprise Community Partners.

Mary Jean holds an MBA Finance and MS Finance from Loyola University of Maryland, and is a graduate of Leadership Maryland.
